| The end of corruption |
| by the Master —, through Benjamin Creme |
| More and more, the nations are beginning to recognize, to take seriously and to deal with, an age-old problem, namely corruption. In some parts of the world corruption has been a way of life for centuries. This has benefited the few, of course, at the expense of the many. For untold ages, corrupt leaders and powerful politicians have waxed rich on the taxes imposed on their subjects and citizens. In modern times, the large corporations of the West have been found guilty of ‘cooking the books’ on a massive scale, while in the East it is taken for granted that every transaction needs the ‘greasing’ of someone’s palm. |
| Corruption is endemic, and runs through some societies from the president or prime minister to the police and sport. Electoral corruption is rampant, as recent elections have demonstrated, even in countries supposedly dedicated to freedom and democracy. Such corrupt governments fail and betray their peoples and so surrender their right to govern. |
| In the midst of such corruption is it possible to engender trust without which the future for men would be bleak indeed? Without trust, a fairer sharing of resources would be a forlorn hope. Without trust, the global decisions required to sustain our planetary home would never be taken. Without blessed and beneficent trust, men would forfeit their right of Stewardship of Planet Earth, and would seal themselves off for aeons from further evolution. |
| Thus would it be, and thus should men tackle seriously, and without delay, the corrosive impact of corruption on every strata of society, and every nook and cranny of our planetary life. |
| To help men to do this, you may be sure that Maitreya will be at pains to demonstrate to men the eroding effect of corruption in all its many manifestations. He will show that if men would become the Gods they essentially are, they must abandon the old ways of deceit and subterfuge. To tackle the serious environmental problems, He will explain, men must work together, in trust. Without trust, Maitreya will emphasize, little can be done. So steeped in corruption themselves are the leaders of the nations, that they trust no one. |
| Maitreya will show that men have but one choice to create the necessary trust: to share the produce of this bounteous Earth more evenly across the world, and so end for ever the starvation and poverty of millions, dying in the midst of plenty. |
| Will the leaders listen to the words of Maitreya? For the most part, possibly, no, not at first. But soon the people everywhere will hear, and see the wisdom of Maitreya’s advice. They will say amen to His wise words and support His Cause. World public opinion will find its voice and its Mentor, and against its power the obstructive voices of the greedy dictators and corrupt politicians will fade. So will it be, and so will begin the cleansing and transformation of this world. |

Tolerance (religious)
|

|
Maitreya has outlined the need to implement the principle of sharing as the foundation for peace and tolerance. This lesson is exemplified in Africa which is recognized as one of the most religious, and religiously tolerant, regions on earth. Of the 47 Muslim-majority countries around the world, only 11 protect the right to religious freedom. However, eight of these are found in Africa and include Senegal, Gambia and Sierra Leone. “Across the region is a culture of interreligious harmony that is unusual in the world," writes political scientist Daniel Philpott in an excerpt from his book Religious Freedom in Islam: The Fate of a Universal Human Right in the Muslim World Today. While pockets of religious intolerance exist, we can see that this is due largely to “a hostile secularism imported from the West.” More often, one can witness people of various faiths supporting one another. For instance, Muslims and Christians in much of sub-Saharan Africa have a long history of religious tolerance. Sierra Leone, in particular, stands out as a positive example. "In Sierra Leone, the practice of sharing food among Muslims during Ramadan is not limited to Muslims," said Murtala Mohamed Kamara, a Muslim who lives in the capital, Freetown. "Christians provide food for their Muslim friends and family members during Ramadan, too." Sharing is the basis for justice, and justice is the foundation of peace.

| Sharing – key to the creation of trust |
“ | Single and simple, therefore, must be the demands of the people. Many and varied are their problems but universal are their needs: peace through justice and freedom are the needs of all men. Sharing, Maitreya will advise, is the key to the creation of trust without which naught is possible. Share and make blessed trust, He will tell the world, and know the blessings of justice and peace. No other way, He will solemnly remind the nations, will bring them the peace for which in their hearts they yearn. Thus will it be, and thus will the people call for sharing and therefore peace. A new and potent world opinion will demonstrate its power and render obsolete the manoeuvres and stratagems of the men of power today. Then will Maitreya declare Himself to all the peoples, and dedicate Himself to their service throughout this coming time. |

On Easter afternoon, March 31, the Northwest region presented an art exhibit and talk at the San Francisco Main Library. Fourteen of Creme’s ‘modern mandala’ lithographs were displayed on easels around the room as Michiko Ishikawa presented this talk – similar to the one she gave in Japan in 2017, shortly after Creme’s passing.

The presentation ended with an introduction to Transmission Meditation, a Message from Maitreya, and an opportunity to experience the meditation, prior to receiving the 3 PM Blessing.
|
|
In the past our presentations at the Main Library have been an annual ‘signature event’ in the SF Bay Area. The last presentation at this Library was in 2018. This time, our online advertising drew an even larger audience than previous ads in local newspapers.
|
|
For many of us in the Bay Area, this was a reunion as well as a celebration, as we met each other in-person, rather than on Zoom, to receive the Easter Festival Blessing – a blessing we could this time share with an audience.

The National Ad Group contracted with Natural Awakenings to place an article (or advertorial, as they call it) entitled “We Have a Choice” in the May print edition of the magazines of their 20 franchises. Putting ‘A Blueprint for Sharing’ into important hands
|
|
|
On April 11th, members of the Dallas group handed out material introducing Maitreya’s ‘Blueprint for Sharing’ as an alternative plan to people attending a debate on whether or not to close the US border to illegal immigration. Well-known speakers debated the issue at this first-in-a-series of topics on serious national crises to be hosted by Bari Weiss, former NY Times journalist and founder of The Free Press, an internet-based media company headquartered in California.

Mexico City International Book Fair 2024
|
|
|
In February, Share International co-workers from Mexico City and San Diego again staffed a booth at the 10-day Mexico City International Book Fair hosted each year by the largest University in Latin America. Co-workers were constantly busy, in particular during the weekends. Many people showed interest in the Reappearance story, and a handful had heard about Maitreya. During the event more than 50 people signed up for an online Transmission Meditation group that now meets on Tuesday nights. About eight participated in the most recent meeting. Co-workers considered the event a success but noted that not as many young people stopped by the booth as in previous years.

The purpose of the soul in incarnation
“The true purpose of the soul in incarnation is to carry out the Will and the Plan of the Logos of the planet. It is a sacrifice for the soul, a perfected spiritual being in its own right – our true Higher Self – to express itself on the dense-physical plane through the apparatus of the physical, emotional and mental bodies, integrated by this personality whom we take to be ourselves. Every single one of us is divine. However, it is extremely difficult to manifest that divinity in its perfection, exactly as it is, at this level, because that divinity has immersed itself in matter. When the soul incarnates, it takes a vehicle composed of material energy which inhibits the reflection of the divine Purpose (Will, Love, Intelligence) of the soul, because the energy of matter is inert and unrefined. The purpose of coming into incarnation again and again, thousands upon thousands of times through the evolutionary journey, is gradually to spiritualize the matter of the planet. This is what we are really engaged in doing, and initially we do it through spiritualizing the matter of our own bodies.”
