| Men live in a changing world and must accept it as the norm. For some, these changes will seem threatening and unwelcome while for others, especially the young, they will be welcomed with open arms. Be assured that they are for the best, whatever your stance, for they reflect the needs of the time, and are inevitable and just. |
| Men should realize that they themselves are creating the conditions whereby these changes impact their lives. When this realism bears fruit, a smoother transition into the new time will become the norm. |
| Our advice to men is this: hold not to blaming unseen forces but realize your own part in creating the transformations of our time. Be assured that out of these transformations will come an ecstatic joy. |

Q. Is this [turmoil] to do with planetary shifts?
|
|
|
A. This is a question about the Earth tipping on its axis and land masses going into the sea. None of this is going to happen. Inevitably, there is turmoil. We’re witnessing that – volcanic eruptions, earthquakes, floods, incredible weather conditions and so on. We also have millions of people in crime, millions of people on drugs; all of that chaos is the result of the rising to the surface of the corruption and the greed and the filth of the past. All of it allows us to see what it is that we’re addressing or failing to address. If we can’t see it, then we will never address it. If it is not seen, it continues festering underneath. So, it is rising to the surface. Maitreya is pouring new energies into the world which purifies humanity. All of this chaos and destructiveness and turmoil is the result of purification individually, nationally and internationally. We’re witnessing the process of the regeneration of the world and, of course, for a time, it is painful.

Maitreya sees all people as members of one family, thereby prioritizing the human right of all for nourishing food, safe housing, effective medical care and all the education needed for individual sustenance and self-development. Beyond these come environmental restoration and the preservation of nature in its myriad forms. In this section we will highlight examples of positive actions and trends in these directions. Punjab, home to over half of Pakistan's population, has made remarkable strides in education in the 21st century. Between 1998 and 2020, the province doubled school enrollment from 13 million to 26 million students. Initiatives have included making education free and providing conditional cash transfers for girls' education. (World Bank)

|
Indonesia is expanding its rollout of the rotavirus vaccine to prevent diarrheal diseases in infants nationwide. This will make a big difference – diarrhea causes one in every ten deaths of children under the age of one, and one in every twenty for children under the age of five in the country every year. (Asia News)

There are around 48 million kids eligible for preventive malaria drugs. In 2013, hardly any of those kids got them. In 2023, almost 100% will, with half the funding coming from The Global Fund and a third from donations to the Malaria Consortium, the charity made famous by Give Well.

The US government has cancelled oil and gas leases on 10.6 million acres of the National Petroleum Reserve in Alaska and prohibited all drilling in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge. Alaskan oil production has dwindled in the last three decades, and the ban will protect grizzly and polar bears, snowy owls, migratory birds, and herds of moose and caribou. (Reuters)

| Karma – The Law of Cause and Effect |
“ | Karma is the main law governing life in our solar system. By the functioning of that law every thought, every action, sets into motion a cause or causes. The effects stemming from these causes make our lives for good or ill. It is all-powerful and truly good. The law of karma seeks to arrive at a point of equilibrium. That, essentially, is what karma is, the achieving of equilibrium. ... When we create conflict, violence, hatred, injustice and oppression, we create negative karma. We are no longer working within the Plan of God. The Plan of God is a reality. In biblical terms it is so vague, so mystical, but in esoteric terms it is absolutely practical. Esotericism is the most practical science or philosophy. Through service, and the changes of consciousness which ensue, we burn up karma. By changing ourselves, we change the nature of the karma we create, and can deal more potently with the karma of the past. |

Parliament of the World’s Religions – Chicago
|

August 14-18, 2023
|
|
Over 7,000 participants, from 95+ countries, representing more than 200 diverse traditions attended the 2023 Parliament. First held in Chicago in 1893, its aim was to create a global dialogue of faiths. Since then there have been eight other Parliament convenings held in major world cities.

|
Twelve Share International co-workers traveled from different parts of the USA to present information about Maitreya and the Masters of Wisdom in a variety of formats. One highlight for this year was a separate display of seven Benjamin Creme lithographs based on his esoteric paintings that many use as Meditation Mandalas. Another special opportunity was given to conduct a one-hour Transmission Meditation each day in one of the “meditation yurts”. New information pieces were created to offer visitors many ways to access our information online and connect with other Share International groups worldwide. Q&A with Benjamin Creme
Q. Would you explain a bit more about Karma Yoga and Laya Yoga?
A. Karma Yoga is the yoga of service. Imagine yourself going through this incarnation with a great load of karma on your shoulders, or dragging it behind you in a huge sled over very rough ground. You pull and pull, but it gets stuck in every little rut. The deeds and misdeeds of your past are all carried along with you, not just from your past lives, but yesterday’s, last week’s, last year’s, and when you were a child.
All of that is our karma. All that we have ever set in motion, every effect of every cause makes our karma. That has to be resolved, the karmic knots have to be untied, so that we can go on and become Masters with no personal karma at all. That is the aim of the evolutionary process. In terms of Karma Yoga, the Law of Karma becomes the Law of Service. This Law gives us the opportunity to balance the negative karma built up over many lives. Karma Yoga is the serving of the world as dispassionately, as detachedly, as one can. It is as if there is a big scale, on one side of which are piled our past misdeeds – the result of our imperfections – and on the other, our service activity. We have to throw more and more onto that pan through service to gradually balance this weight of karma and resolve it. Service burns up the karma by bringing about the balance of the two. That is Karma Yoga.
Laya Yoga is the yoga of energy of the chakras. This yoga underlies the manipulation of energies of cosmos, but in the sense in which we use it, it is the yoga by which the Masters transmit their energies through the groups. It is a very occult yoga performed for us by the Masters. They are experts, Master Scientists. Every second of every hour, They are transmitting and transforming the energies from some extra-planetary source (protecting humanity from those which would be harmful).
